Wind Symphony Festival Letter

Dear Wind Symphony Band Parents, You are invited! This letter is to let you know about this weekend’s performance at MSBOA District V Band and Orchestra Festival. The bands will be performing a march, a required piece, and a selected piece for three adjudicators in the concert portion of the festival then move on to the sight reading room. Ken Yagiela, student teacher from Central Michigan University, has been working with the band and will also be conducting at the festival during the concert portion. Each adjudicator will give the band a rating which will be averaged together to give the band a final rating from a high of I to the lowest rating of V. This year we will be performing at Frankenmuth High School (525 E Genesee St, Frankenmuth, MI 48734) on Saturday, March 15th. The band will start their performance at 3:50 PM in the auditorium and should arrive at Frankenmuth at 2:50 PM. (Our Symphony Band performs at 1:45 and would love a large BCC audience!) It is expected that all parents drive their student to festival in Frankenmuth. Students are not allowed to drive themselves. For those students that cannot get a ride we will have one bus leaving from Central at 11:45 and arriving back around 5:45. If you need to ride the bus please return a permission slip by Wednesday, March 12th.
