Our pizza kit sale will run until Friday, January 31. All money and order forms are due at that point. Checks can be made payable to Bay City Central. Delivery will be the week of February 10th.

The November meeting will take place on MONDAY, November 18th in the 1st floor staff lounge.
The cheesecake sale was kicked off 1 week ago. All orders and money are due November 8. Delivery/Pick-up of cheesecakes will be November 20 from 4:00-5:00 in the main hallway in front of the office. Students earn $4.50 for each cheesecake sold.
The Marching Showcase is this Wednesday, October 16th at Midland High School. The show begins at 6:00 and the Central Band will perform around 8:00. Admission is $5 and no concessions are sold at the event. Students will need to eat dinner before we leave, pizza will be served to students around 3:30.
We will load the bus at 4:30 and leave at 4:45. We will be arriving back to school around 10:00pm. If you would like to take your student home after the performance I will need a written note. ALL uniforms will still need to be turned at the end of the evening so all students leaving with a parent will need to give their uniform to a friend to turn in for them.
Rehearsal tonight will begin at 7:45 on the field. Student involved in the awards assembly need to be prepared to march after the ceremony is done.
Please bring your summer uniform (polo & khakis) just in case we need to use it. We want to be prepared for the weather.

Feed the band is immediately following the parade.
6:15 Report for warm-up (uniform will be announced if it needs to change)
6:25 Step-Off to Stadium
~6:40 Perform "Guitar Hero" Show, Pre-Game immediately following
Band pictures will take place this Saturday, July 20th at 6:00 pm in the stadium. A copy of the order form is available in the downloads section.
The concert is still at the friendship shell today, any rainy weather should be done around 1:00. Please arrive about 15 minutes before your performance time wearing your band polo and khakis.

I sent a school messenger out today...but I'm hearing that no one got it.
Band Banquet is Wednesday, May 22 at 6:30 in the cafeteria. It is a potluck so please bring your own plate, silverware, and beverage. All parents, students, siblings are invited. Freshmen please bring a meat dish, sophomores a hot dish, juniors a cold dish, and seniors a dessert. Please bring a dish that will serve around 20 people, please be generous remember we are feeding teenagers.
Your student should be able to relay this message verbatem we have been going over it in class for the last 2 weeks.

We kicked off the flower sale today. Order forms are available in the downloads section of the website, all money and orders are due May 6 and may be picked up at Vanooteghem's Greenhouse May 10-June 5.

8:00-11:00 All students that did not pick up their marching uniform can do so at this time.
10:00 Unload trailer with concert percussion/load trailer with marching instruments
-If you want something on the trailer you need to put it on there yourself or make arrangements for someone else to load your equipment. No one, absolutely NO ONE will run back to the school to get your instrument, hat, or anything else that you forgot or did not make arrangements for!
1:30 All CHS students report to the corner of Center and Green (Temple of Israel parking lot)
Students must have their flip folder with music.

2:00 Parade begins
Students will be dismissed from the end of the parade at the Delta Planetarium, they will then have 1 hour from that time to return their marching uniforms to the band room in order to receive credit for the performance. You may have someone else drop off your uniform if it is easier for you.
The Jazz Concert scheduled for tonight is canceled because of the snow day. At this time the concert is not being rescheduled.
Band Festival will be Saturday, March 16 at Perry High School. The Symphony Band will perform at 3:10 and the Wind Symphony will perform at 4:50. We will be providing busses but students are encouraged to ride with their parents if they will be attending.
More detailed information will be available soon, the schedule just came out today so I wanted to get the dates and location out to everyone.
The BCC Bands are having a fund raiser night, Wednesday, January 23 at Buffalo Wild Wings. If you print out the BWW Flyer in the downloads section and present it to your server the BCC Bands will receive 20% of your purchase!

The Bay City Central winter band concert is Tuesday, December 11th. From 5:00-7:00pm, just prior to the concert, we will be having our annual cookie walk, which is where we sell a wide variety of cookies baked and donated by the wonderful band bakers... that's you :) We are asking for 5-6 dozen cookies per baker to be dropped off starting at 4:00pm in the hallway near the auditorium.
Central Air is performing Tuesday night at the State Theater. Students need to report dressed up at 6:40, cases can go in the balcony. It is a free concert. Also performing will be the Garber , Western, Dow, and Sanford Meridian jazz bands.
Also just added to our calendar today is a performance at Central High on Thursday, December 6. (Yes that's in 2 days. We will tune at 6:15 and begin playing at 6:30. This will be in the auditorium for the honors assembly.
