We are excited to be hosting the Markgraefler Gymansium Muellheim Big Band and Choir from Germany. Right now we are in the process of matching host families with students. The group will arrive in Bay City late on September 8th and will depart the morning of September 11th. The students we are hosting range from 15-19 along with a few staff members in their 20's. You do not need a guest room to host a student (or several), just a place for them to sleep as if your student were having a friend over for the night.
If you could host please fill out the host family form on the bccbands website. We will have a final itinerary for group in the coming weeks. We need to find homes for 55 people!
Students riding the bus should be at school 11:00, students meeting us there should be there at 12:00. Meet at the parade grounds on Munger Rd.
Wear your polo, khaki's and tennis shoes. You may wear your water backpack if you like. We will be playing the fight song, if you have it memorized you do not need your music.
There is a senior bonfire scheduled for Sunday, July 27th at 7:00 pm. The bonfire will be held at Mrs. Keenan’s parent’s home at 2364 East Parish Rd., Kawkawlin.
Follow M-13 north; there will be a stoplight with a McDonalds on the corner at Beaver Rd.…keep going north, the next flashing light is Parish Rd. Turn right and it is the first (and only) house past the railroad tracks on the right. (It is about a 15 minute drive from Handy)
Bring a dish to pass, we will have hot dogs, pop, and water.
We would love to have all senior band students AND their parents/sibilings/families.
The banquet begins at 6:30 on Wednesday, May 21 in the Central High School Cafe. There is no charge for the banquet we just ask that
